Michael Velazquez is a New York-based sound designer and audio technician currently completing his BFA in Production for Stage and Screen at Pace University. His design credits include Tartuffe, Spring Awakening, Small Mouth Sounds, and Purgastory, all produced at Pace. Michael has also worked extensively as an assistant sound designer and A1 on productions across opera, musical theatre, and drama, with experience at Quisisana Resort and in university settings.

 

In addition to theatrical work, Michael has a strong background in studio and broadcast audio. He interned at Igloo Music in Burbank, assisting in voiceover and orchestral recording sessions, and works as a recording engineer for student music ensembles. His technical skills include Pro Tools, QLab, Vectorworks, and Photoshop, and he brings a collaborative, detail-driven approach to every project.
